Haitian Art
The Haitian-born Merisier, now 84, has lived in the U.S. since 1968.
Throughout his long career, he has drawn inspiration from the likes of
Picasso, Chagall, Matisse and Jackson Pollock and melded it with his
recollections of Haitian society and spiritualism.
