Soap making is surprisingly easy and it's fun to come up with different soap concoctions. I recommend dedicating a mixing bowl and spoon solely to soap making, as they can get pretty gooey after a few batches of soap.

Supplies:

1lb Clear Glycerine Soap Block

6 Candy Canes

Soap Molds

Peppermint Oil

Spray Bottle

Alcohol

Microwave-Safe Bowl

Mixing Spoon

Freezer Bag

Directions:

Step 1: Place candy canes in a freezer bag and crush with a rolling pin or hands. Place crushed candy canes on the bottom of the soap molds. I used 1 candy cane per soap. Tip: So you can tell they are candy canes, only crush them into little pieces. You can pick out the larger pieces to avoid using the powder if you’d like.

Step 2: Cut the 1lb glycerine soap block into little pieces and place in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave glycerine in 30 second intervals, mixing until melted. Mix in 3-4 drops of peppermint oil.

Step 3: Pour glycerine in soap molds, over crushed candy canes. Pour slowly so candy canes don’t shift. If you notice a gap in candy canes, you can use a toothpick to quickly move the candy canes around before the soap starts to harden. Tip: If you see bubbles in the soap, you can lightly spray the soap with alcohol and they will disappear.

Step 4: Allow soap to completely harden before removing from molds.
