DIY Christmas Craft

Green Christmas Decorations

These chic and simple green Christmas decorations give a nod to nature in the midst of winter's chill and celebrate the soothing shade in all of its subtlety — from moss to mint, pear to lime. While all the trimmings here may be tone-on-tone, they are anything but monotonous.

In the Limelight

Empty bottles become holiday-ready candle holders with some silvery wrapping paper and lush green ribbons.

Fruit of Fancy

Faux grapes, limes, and pears dusted with glitter look plucked from Jack Frost's icy orchard — and will last for years. (To craft, coat fruit with spray adhesive and roll in a mixture of three parts white glitter to one part silver glitter.)

Mint Condition

Make your gifts a package deal. Wrap all the under-the-tree presents in hues that harmonize with green, and top with mini ornaments.

Perfect Pears

Thanks to a pearl-topped pin, ripe pears serve as edible name-card holders. Pears also appear, with greenery and tiny ornaments, in a DIY-on-a-dime centerpiece.

Tree Line

Supermarket spruce seedlings, popped into pails and arrayed along a candlelit mantel, create a wintry woodland scene. Hanging below: a bead garland accessorized with sleek, sculptural ornaments (secured with floral wire).
