Nifty Uses for Baking Soda
Polish Those Pearly Whites
A paste made of baking soda and a 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution can be used as an alternative to regular toothpaste. Can't be bothered? Dip your toothbrush with toothpaste into baking soda for an extra boost.
Homemade Facial, Free
Give yourself an invigorating facial and body scrub- You deserve it. Make a paste of three parts baking soda and one part water. Rud in a gentle circular motion to exfoliate the skin. Rince and perhaps repeat. This is gentle enough for daily use.
Can't Stand Deodorant?
Pat baking soda into your body to neutralize odor.
Tummy Ache?
Baking soda is a safe and effective antacid to relieve heartburn, sour stomach, and/ or acid indigestion. Read your baking soda package for instructions.
Ouch? It Stings!
For annoying insest bites, make a paste out of baking soda and water, and apply liberally. To ease the itch, shake more baking soda into your hand and rub it into damp skin.
Hairy Brushes ?
For Lustrous hair with more shine, keep brushes squeaky clean. Remove natural oil build up and hair product residue by soaking combs and brushes in a solution of 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a small cup of warm water. Rinse and let dry.
