Clothing brand American Apparel is known for their hot, young models showing off tight spandex ensembles, but this week, they shocked all of us when the switched up their usual ads for something totally different.
The brand threw us all for a loop when they revealed the latest face of their “advanced basics line,” 60-year-old Jacky O’Shaughnessy. With her long, grey hair, she’s not what you would expect a typical American Apparel model to look like, based on their past ad campaigns, which is actually quite refreshing.
According to Fashionista.com, she was discovered by the clothing brand on the street in NYC after recently moving back to the city—and this campaign marks her foray into the modeling world (yep, it’s her first modeling job).
