How to Clean Your Makeup Brushes

You know washing your towels and pillow cases every week helps keep your face clear and blemish free but are your makeup brushes feeling left out? Here are four simple steps to keeping your brushes squeaky clean. Your face will thank you.

Step 1:

Put 2/3 teaspoon of baby shampoo into an 8 ounce cup of warm water. Then, swirl your brushes around inside the cup until all the pigment is out of the brush.

Step 2:

Next, you can check to see if they’re clean by wiping your brush on a towel. If the brush is totally clean, it won’t leave any pigmentl.

Step 3:

Once the brush is totally clean. Rise out all the shampoo by running the brush under warm water.

Step 4:

Then lay the brush out on the sink, with the bristles hanging of the edge to air dry. Empty the cup and start over with clean water for every brush. Also, if the brushes are real hair, you will need to condition them like you do your hair.
