Sandy's Aftermath (Food Distribution Locations in all Five Boroughs)

 

The Salvation Army announced Thursday night that they would deliver food to victims of Hurricane Sandy at 14 locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. until they are no longer necessary.

The distribution centers are a joint effort between the Salvation Army and the Office of Emergency Management.

• Hammel Playground – 84^th Street & Rockaway Beach Boulevard
• Red Fern House Playground – Redfern Avenue & Beach 12^th Street
• Astoria

Brooklyn

• Coney Island
• Surf Island Playground – West 25^th Street & Surf Avenue
• Red Hook
• Coffey Park – 85 Richards Street

Manhattan

• Chelsea
• Chelsea Park – West 27^th Street, between 9^th & 10^th Avenues
• Lower East Side
• Vladic Playground – East 10^th Street, between C & D Avenues
• Al Smith Playground – Catherine Street, between Cherry & Monroe Streets
