I invited Chef Don Clark Williams to a Birthday Party at my Place in Queens because I wanted to serve Tostonera at my party.The event was a huge success. Once Don started making his plantain cups, people were in line waiting to sample the tasty appetizer. We fill them with cherries, apples topped with whipped cream and powdered sugar. We then move on to some different filling, crab cakes, grilled shrimp, pineapple salsa, chicken, fried pork yum yum. People were making their orders before the plantain cups were ready. If you left the kitchen, by the time you came back someone else already took your place.
