Style: The Upside-Down Braided BunHow-to: Flip your head over. Take a section of hair at the nape of your neck and begin French braiding your hair backwards, from the neck to the top of your head. When you’ve reached the top of the head, take all your hair and secure in a high ponytail with an elastic. For a messier, un-done knot, gently tease the ponytail by brushing from the ends up. Next, wrap the hair around the elastic to form a bun and secure with bobby pins. It’s totally fine if there are some bumps and pieces falling out—it’s not supposed to be perfect!
Style: The Side French Braid (very similar to the Katniss Braid)
How-to: This is an update on a classic. Take a section of hair on one side of your head. To keep it loose and relaxed, start with a three-inch section. Begin French braiding, adding in more hair as you braid. Continue along the side of your head, all the way to the opposite ear, allowing the braid to come over your shoulder. Secure with a rubber band and lightly tug at each section to mess it up a little. Let any fringe or layers fall loose. Add a headband or flowers to punch it up, or leave it pretty on it’s own.
